The church in London’s volunteer approval process is for all serving ones who want to serve with children and/or young people, or at residential YPC events.
Our approval process follows the six steps of safer recruitment recommended by CCPAS: announcement of the need for serving ones, application and self-declaration forms, references, interview, information about criminal history, and induction and on-going vigilance. The process begins with viewing the YPC Service Descriptions to make sure that you are applying for the correct area(s) of service. You will then be directed to the application form. It then takes about 4 weeks to become approved.
