Welcome!
On this website you will find everything you need to become an approved YPC (young people and children) serving one for any church in London events or meetings.
The church in London has a new approval process for volunteers serving with young people and children. As part of this process, all serving ones need to:
- Apply to Serve
- Complete Initial Safeguarding Training
- Obtain a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) background check
To complete both the application and the training process on this website it is suggested that you set aside approximately 2 hours. You may complete the process in segments when you have time and the work you have completed will be saved. Estimated times for completing the sections of the approvals process are as follows:
- Application Process — 45 minutes
- Training: Module 1 — 45 minutes
- Training: Module 2 — 30 minutes
If you would like to start the application process, go to Apply to Serve.
If you have already begun the approval process by submitting an application and obtaining references, then you can go directly to the online training course under Training.
Once you are an approved YPC serving one, this website will provide you with all the Resources you need in your service, including on-going training requirements.
